Finding Patents (Category: Finding and Evaluating Information) In-Person
Locating and understanding patents
Patents contain useful information about how things are made, and about how they work. Patents are particularly useful for scientists and engineers but can be difficult to find. This Power Hour will outline what a patent is, what types of ideas can be patented, and demonstrate how to find patents using patent numbers and patent classification searches.
This Power Hour will not cover checking if your idea or invention is already patented, and will not give legal advice.
British Sign Language students will be signing at this event and recording themselves only
