Academic Writing: Cracking the Code

Academic Writing: Cracking the Code Online

This is an online webinar run from the Edinburgh campus and starts at 8am UK time.  Please check the time in your local time zone - 1200 Dubai | 1600 Malaysia

Tutors expect you to use 'academic writing' in your assignments - but what are the 'rules' and why should you follow them? This workshop gives you the information you need to write appropriately and convincingly by exploring the purpose and features of a successful assignment. It will also show you how to take the drafting and editing process beyond spelling and grammar checking to make informed choices about style, content and structure.

This session is suitable for undergraduates and taught postgraduate students

You can preview PowerPoints for many of the Skills Hub classes on our Skills Hub guide.
