How to use EndNote 21 to manage your references (demonstrated on Windows) Online

Do you want to know how to get started with using EndNote 21? This class will give you an introduction to using EndNote to manage your references, including adding references to your EndNote library and using Cite While you Write to create citations and reference lists in a Word document.

This 1.5 hour class will cover:

Building an EndNote library.
Adding, exporting and importing references.
Organising references in your EndNote library.
Using Cite While You Write to add references to your text.
Generating and formatting a reference list.

There is also an EndNote Guide (https://isguides.hw.ac.uk/endnote), which you can refer to before or after the class.

Notes:

The librarian teaching this class will be using a Windows computer. EndNote is very similar on Windows and MacOS so the webinar is suitable for users of either operating system.
EndNote 21 is available to all Heriot-Watt staff and students on all University managed PCs. It can also be installed on your personal laptop. To do this, email IShelp@hw.ac.uk and ask for installation instructions for Mac or PC.
