Literature Searching for EGIS Subjects In-Person

Best practice in finding information for University course work

This session is particularly suitable for final year undergraduates and taught postgraduate students.   Only EGIS students should attend this session.

Have you been told to find more suitable "academic" or "peer-reviewed" material to use in your assignments? Do you have to undertake a literature review? Have you tried searching for good information online (i.e. you've Googled it) but think there must be better information out there? If you still haven't found what you're looking for, then this session outlines good practice to help you get the authoritative information you need and will point you to some subject specific resources and search tools.

N.B. Check your timetable to see if your Librarian is scheduled to come and see you as part of your course.
