Harvard citing and referencing In-Person / Online

Learn how to cite and reference using a Harvard style.  Harvard is an author-date referencing style where the citations use names and publication years, e.g. Smith, 2021.

Correct citing and referencing is a requirement of university assignments. It makes your work more credible and can help you avoid accidental plagiarism. This session is aimed at those who are new to using Harvard citing and referencing, or those who want a refresher.  It gives an overview of the what, why, when and how of citing and referencing, along with hints and tips to make citing and referencing easier.

Examples in this session will use the Harvard Cite Them Right style, but it will also be useful if you have been told to use any version of Harvard or any other author-date style.  If you need to use a numeric referencing style you should sign up for the Citing and Referencing IEEE session.
