Conversation Analytic Role-play Method (CARM) WEBINAR Online

In this workshop, I discuss how the Conversation Analytic Role-play Method (CARM) can be used in effective communication training. My research focuses on analysing real-time interaction between a variety of organisations (helplines, the police) and those who use them. I use conversation analysis to identify what works and what is less effective in these communicative encounters. Findings from my research collaborations can improve service-user experiences and lead to social impact.

Priority is given to students from SoSS.

This workshop is designed to generate an understanding of what conversation analysis is, and how this methodological approach can be applied in communication training environments.
