Sustainability at Heriot-Watt University In-Person
Have you ever looked at the world and wondered where to start when it comes to making it better for everyone and everything? If so, you’re not alone. That is ultimately much of the basis of what it means to be sustainable, or rather to try. Efforts are underway to turn Heriot-Watt University’s Climate Action Framework into community-wide climate action, and you are invited to be part of that.
This is your opportunity to learn about and access resources that will enable you to become a climate advocate and a sustainability champion. Our Deputy Principal in Global Sustainability, Professor Mercedes Maroto-Valer, will give a short overview of our University’s sustainability achievements to date, before sharing how you can personally contribute to our future aspirations as a global community of changemakers. Join the event in meeting room 1 in the Student Union to discuss options, engage with exciting activities and consider what sustainability can mean to you.
Please email SustainableHWU@hw.ac.uk with the subject header “Consolidation Week Sustainability Event” to sign up and to submit any advance questions for Professor Maroto-Valer.
