Strengthening Staff Resilience for Engaging with the Public on Sensitive Topics F2F In-Person

Embedding meaningful involvement into research is already challenging enough - but what happens if you find yourself talking to someone about something traumatic? The very nature of having a conversation means that you can find yourself drifting away into unexpected topics - this is particularly likely with research into Health.

This course is delivered via an external training provider (Empeiria), who explain that:

"For staff working across the health and social care sector the work they do can often be difficult to process. Often working compassionately alongside people who have experienced traumatic events can be a challenge. There is a significant requirement for us to build the resilience of the workforce to be enhance their skills and understanding in this area."
