IEEE Citing & Referencing (not relevant to SoSS students) Online

This is an online webinar run from the Edinburgh campus and starts at 09:00 UK time.  Please check the time in your local time zone.

There are three different sessions on citing and referencing covering three different styles, Harvard, IEEE and APA. This session covers IEEE. Please check this is the style you are advised to use.

This webinar will cover how to cite and reference using the IEEE style, used in Mechanical, Electrical and some other engineering subjects.  It is not suitable for students who need to cite using Harvard or for students from SoSS.

Learn how to cite and reference using a IEEE style.  IEEE is a numeric referencing style where the citations use numbers, e.g. [1].

Correct citing and referencing is a requirement of university assignments.  It makes your work more credible and can help you avoid accidental plagiarism. This webinar is aimed at those who are new to using IEEE citing and referencing, or those who want a refresher. It gives an overview of the what, why, when and how of citing and referencing, along with hints and tips to make citing and referencing easier.

Examples in this session will use IEEE style.
