Legal Networking Event for New Joiners: Legal at a Glance F2F In-Person
The legal networking event will showcase the services of the Research Engagement Legal team, highlighting their role in protecting the interests of the University in its research and knowledge exchange activities. Include presentations, Q&A sessions, and networking opportunities.
Objectives:
• Introduce New Joiners to Legal Services: Provide an overview of the legal support available for research activities, including contract management, confidentiality agreements, data protection, intellectual property, and trusted research.
• Enhance Research Culture: Foster a supportive and informed research environment by ensuring that researchers are aware of relevant legal requirements and available resources.
• Promote Collaboration: Encourage networking among new joiners and the legal team to build relationships and facilitate future collaborations, efficient interactions and an enhanced service for colleagues.
Outcomes:
• Increased awareness of legal resources and support among new joiners.
• Improved compliance with University policies and legal regulations.
• Enhanced collaboration and communication between researchers and the legal team.

Cancellations
All cancellations need to be made on LibCal, no later than 48hrs before each session starts. This will allow a person on the waiting list to attend.
Non-attendance
If you frequently cancel with short notice (less than 48 hours) or fail to show-up, this will be considered as non-attendance. If you miss 5 sessions in the same academic year, we will reach out to you to check in on your wellbeing and notify that you will not be able to book any further places until the end of academic year, unless a valid reason is given. Existing bookings will also be cancelled.
