Digital capabilities are essential in underpinning our digital-first University. This virtual session offers a practical introduction to digital capabilities and explores how line managers can embed them within their teams. It combines foundational understanding with hands-on application, guiding managers through the JISC Digital Capabilities Self-Review Tool to support both personal development and team culture.
Session Objectives:
- Define what is meant by digital capabilities and why they matter in a digital-first University.
- Introduce the JISC Digital Capabilities Framework — its purpose, structure, and practical use.
- Complete the JISC Digital Capabilities Self-Review Tool and interpret the personal report and identify development areas to create a personal action plan.
- Explore how line managers can create a culture that supports digital development in their team.
