Designing for impact: Embedding employability and changemaker skills in learning experiences In-Person

14.00-16.00pm Dubai  campus (venue TBC)

In today’s highly complex and interconnected world, employability goes beyond technical skills—it includes critical thinking, inclusion, collaboration, and the ability to drive positive change. Participants in this session will explore how educators can intentionally design teaching and learning experiences that build these essential graduate attributes through real-world tasks, authentic assessment, and challenge-based learning. Participants will engage in hands-on activities to reimagine their sessions in ways that foster belonging, diverse perspectives, and purposeful engagement with global challenges.

Session Objectives By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

· Specify key employability skills and graduate attributes relevant to their discipline and institutional goals.

· Design learning activities and assessments that promote critical thinking, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving.

· Integrate inclusive and challenge-based approaches that support student belonging, agency, and changemaker development.
