Multiple Regression in R WEBINAR Online
R is an open-source programming language ideal for statistical analysis and modelling. A popular statistical model in the social sciences is multiple regression, owing to its flexibility and robustness. In this workshop, you will learn how to run a multiple regression model, interpret the output, and generate visualisations, and test model assumptions. The workshop is intended as an introduction to multiple regression in R, equipping students with the foundational knowledge to pursue more complex regressions models.
Aims and Objectives
- Cover the multiple regression formula
- Live code an example of multiple regression and interpret the model output
- Assess strength of the model using the prediction
- Examine partial effects
- Standardising coefficients
- Model comparison
- Additional Information
This is an advanced R workshop, so some experience using either R or script based data analysis software (e.g., STATA) is required.
The host will not be able to stop to troubleshoot individual problems, but will provide handouts prior to the session to keep progress relatively even.

Non-attendance
If you frequently cancel with short notice (less than 48 hours) or fail to show-up, this will be considered as non-attendance. If you miss 5 sessions in the same academic year, we will reach out to you to check in on your wellbeing and notify that you will not be able to book any further places until the end of academic year, unless a valid reason is given. Existing bookings will also be cancelled.
