Strategic Reading of the Research Literature ONLINE Online

This workshop explores the instruction to 'read around your subject' so that you can assess the current state of knowledge and find gaps that you can fill. To do this efficiently, you need to learn how to read selectively to get a general overview of your topic and begin to see connections between your sources. Categorizing your sources helps you decide which sources relate to one another and should be read together. Note-taking and keeping a record of your sources will also be discussed.

This workshop provides a framework for locating, surveying, categorizing and evaluating sources efficiently. There are suggestions for note-taking and record keeping.

This is an online workshop, not a live webinar. You will be enrolled by 11.00 (UK time), 15.00 (Dubai), 19.00 (Malaysia) on the date shown and the invitation to join the session will be sent to your registered email. You will have 4 weeks to work through the content in your own time. To be recorded as passed the workshop you must complete the quiz at the end of the workshop (with score over 60%) by the end of the 4 weeks.
