Research in Action Week - The Global Research Institutes (GRIs) in Action F2F In-Person
What are the Global Research Institutes? What do they do? What are their future plans?
Heriot-Watt's world class research is focused on addressing global challenges and delivering benefits for society. At the heart of this mission lies our four Global Research Institutes (GRIs), revolutionising Health & Care, working to achieve Net Zero and beyond, pioneering robotics and understanding the changes in earth and marine sciences.
Join 4 of the Academic Leads from each GRI - Prof. Michel Kaiser, Prof. Gabi Medero, Prof. Yvan Petillot and Prof. Maiwenn Kersaudy-Kerhoas - for a panel discussion, chaired by Prof. Chris Turney, Heriot-Watt's Deputy Principal (Research & Impact).
Each of the academics will give an overview of the current activities of their respective GRI, their plans for the future and how this will contribute to HWU's research portfolio.
So if you have a question about any of the GRI activity or would just like to learn more, come along to the James Watt Centre on Wednesday 29th October. The panel discussion will be followed by a drinks reception, showcase of some of the ground-breaking research taking place within the GRIs and an opportunity for a more informal chat with representatives of each GRI.
