Responsible Use of AI in Postgraduate Research WEBINAR Online
This session is for Postgraduate Researchers.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, such as Co-Pilot and others, are increasingly being used in academic work, from generating text to summarising literature and supporting data analysis. While these tools can be helpful, their use also raises important questions about research integrity, authorship and accountability.
Aims and Objectives
This session will help postgraduate researchers critically evaluate the role of AI in their own research practice. Through group discussion and short practical considerations, you will:
- Explore what AI tools can and cannot do in research.
- Consider the research integrity challenges linked to AI use.
- Discuss real-life scenarios where responsible use is essential.
- Learn how to acknowledge and document AI use transparently in your work.
By the end of the session, you will learn about considerations you should take when using the AI for your research in order to uphold the highest standards of research integrity.
