This session emphasises the foundational principles of constructive alignment, focusing on how course learning outcomes (CLOs) in programmes can be effectively linked with teaching and learning activities to enhance graduate attributes. Participants will explore strategies for designing sessions that intentionally support students in achieving learning outcomes, while also supporting their learning through both formative and summative assessments. Through discussion and reflection, participants will consider how purposeful design can foster learning and meaningful student engagement as well as advancing valued graduate attributes
Session Outcomes
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Explore the concepts of constructive alignment.
- Discuss how to design learning activities that promote inquiry, collaboration, and reflection through practical applications.
- Share practices on how they embed attributes into their everyday teaching practice.
